Flash based Projects

Flash Filter System
January 2010

Using actionScript 3.0, I was tasked to build a filter that would manipulate images and data to only show certain categories. I was inspired to make the project about some Canadian Olympic athletes and separated them by gender and sport. If the athletes are clicked on, a popup appears with dynamically loaded text and images.
Product Experiance
March 2010

I was assigned the job of creating an interactive experiance for a product. Using images and videos, I constructed a mini site for Capezio brand name dance shoes. In particular, I focused on manipulating the background music channels and dynamically loading all text and images.
Heart and Crown Web Advertisement
September 2009

Here I created a simple flash based web advertisement for the pub restaurant the Heart and Crown. It's focus was animation and promoting key information that would interest the viewer. The end goal was to have a web ready ad for a magazine website that Algonquin College hosted.
Heart and Crown Web Game Advertisement
November 2009

To further the interactivity of the Heart and Crown ad, I was tasked to create a simple game that would end in a coupon if the game was finished. I designed a breakaway based game with two levels of difficulty. It was coded in ActionScript 3.0.
Music Interpretation Animation
October 2009

This was my first flash animation assignment. We had to choose a song, and using text and only simple drawings, visually represent the emotion and basic concept of the song.
Expandable Coke Banner Advertisement
February 2010

This assignment was to animate and code an interactive expandable banner. I did all the animations and my group member, Shannon Fenton, completed all of the code. The way the ad works is that when the user rollovers over the banner, a coke bottle drops down. When the user shakes the bottle and releases, the bottle explodes and a link is revealed that brings the user to Coca Cola's website.
